Week 1 is the books for Oklahoma Prep Football and now everyone is heading towards their 2nd (3rd if you played Week 0) game of this young season.
With the SKORDLE GOTW crew heading to Tonkawa @ Perry this week, I thought this would be a great time to revisit our very first SKORDLE Sampler Food Blog entry from August 2019 when I wrote about by experiences at the famous Kumback Lunch Café in downtown Perry.
As you will read in this blog, I highly suggest the chicken fried steak dinner or delicious hamburgers.
Also, if you’re going to order fried mushrooms for the table, make sure your friends like them too.
A picture of a dinner salad DID make its way into the picture back in the 2019, so I hope the blog fan club won’t be too hard on me this week.

In addition to the restaurant suggestion, I also encourage all beef loving Oklahomans like me to give pork burgers a try the next time you fire up the grill or smoker.
They are fantastic and a great change of pace on the grilled food rotation.
